Its my macdonalds! I'm lovin' it! Ever tried blogging at macdonalds? We are doing it right now for the first time and the network connection here isn't as laggy as expected. Though a bit unstable at times. We went to shop at Parkway Parade for the first time in our lives. To our surprise, it's actually quite a big shopping centre. It has all the big name shops in it, Topshop, Mphosis, Dorothy Perkins, Isetan and what have you... Also, ALL the major banks in Singapore can be found in that area. OMG! DBS, UOB, CitiBank, MayBank, Standard Chartered and HSBC.

After spending our afternoon there at Parkway Parade, we went down to East Coast Park for dinner and we had all the yummy food... Sting Ray, Mussels, Veggie, Satay and Coconut drink. Quite a spread and no wonder we had to come down to AMK Mac to use the toilet... Lol~! And we visited Ski 360 and saw a few people trying wakeboarding. And there was this guy who let go of the cable towards the end and he splashed a lot of water at us. Must try it out one day.... $30 for an hour during weekdays and $40 during weekends. Expensive man! But at least it is something new to try in Singapore.

Ever since Mac became 24hrs, it has attracted quite a lot of crowd. Right now at 10.47pm, there are alot of people in here, aunties, uncles, people playing Magic the Gathering(how come?!?!?), kids, people studying for exams and people like us who have no place to go after 10. However, I am reminded of an incident my fren told me abt... He went to this particular Mac, which has a 24hrs sign posted outside. However, when he went in, he was greeted with a "Sorry we are closing now." DUH~~~

Ok la, shall end here la. Jac wants to surf the net.

Its realli been a long time since this blog is updated rite? My fault... Blogged too much on my personal blog and neglected this present my dear dear created for us... =(

Darling dear... I miss you so...

Life without you for the past 1 week plus haven been realli great you know?

I miss ur presence... I miss ur face, ur hand, ur hair, ur body, even ur toe... yes.. even ur ugly toe... I miss ur warmth dear... I miss ur voice too... Its been quite a few days since I last heard ur voice... Taking into consideration that we never fail to talk on the phone every nite... Boo hoo... I miss u so mah!!!!!

Yes I know I sound like I am so sticky... As in like w/o my dear I will die like that...
BUT I MISS SHAWN MAH!!!!

I do try to keep myself occupied too alright? Like today, I went to my boss's house with the rest of my colleagues for BBQ... Go try the massage chair.. Uzap.. and almost the Isqueeze.. She wanted to convert that room into a Mini Gym room wor... Dear dear... next time our house how?

I only know I want a bean bag corner... Hopefully we can have a walk-in wardrobe...

Okie okie lemmi start on the bedroom... One wall specially for the photo wallpaper as per ur brilliant request... A queen size bed will be sufficient... Cos u mentioned u dun wan our baby to sleep between us.. so no need big bed.. hahahaha... (But I want my Meow Mee okie?) I want a dressing table/corner too okie?? It will be fabulous if the window in our flat is the top to bottom one.. Then I will want a cushion chair next to the window for us to enjoy our books/magazines... Remember the platform?? I want that in our room too... Hmm.. maybe the living room will be better.. Rite? Hmm... Planning w/o u is meaningless... Dun wan tok abt this le...

For the first time in my life after getting my driving licsence, i drove a van and a very slow one to be exact. Its my mum's company's van, which my mum drove back so, i decided to drive it today. Firstly, i went to pick dear from her home and she was so disgusted upon seeing the van. OMG~~, I guess that was what she was thinking at that time. Well, don't worry as we did not drive it to Orchard for shopping, we merely went to ang mo kio to visit grandma and have lunch there. We won't have the guts to show our faces if we went to town in that vehicle. The van is so slow that at 5th gear, it struggles to hit 70km/hr. I only managed to drive at that speed for about 2 minutes because at 50km/hr, a beeper starts going, "Beep, beep, beep... ... ..." non-stop and it's very irritating. Jac is very much appreciative that the air-con in the van is still working in good condition else she would have screamed and jumped out of the vehicle midway. Shall post some of the pics...

The atmosphere was tense today... There was a competition between Shawn and Jac.. It was a competition in the kitchen, seeing who can cook the best french beans.. Competitor number 1, Shawn, cooked normal french beans with fish cakes and competitor number 2, Jac, cooked skinny french beans with carrots.. Both of them used their secret family recipe to cook the dish.. Alas! The dishes were completed and who will be the judge? It is none other than Peipei, she had both of the beans for dinner. However, we were unable to come to a stand on whose dish is better as Peipei's plate was empty.. Well, I guess both dishes were equally nice ba... We'll try other dishes next time... Stay tuned...

Today marks our 2nd yr together!
A seemingly long period which is only represented by the number 2.
We feel like we have been together all our live! haha~
Not that we are bored of each other rite? choy*
More like we have been bonded together for yrs!
Dear agreeable?

Truefully speaking, there werent much disagreements or hiccups of any major sorts that happened between us. So far, it has been quite smooth. I cant remember any huge argument that happened.. Can you?

Some may feel that fights between a couple will build a stronger relationship. It can be true.. It is a learnign process. However, some fights may scar a relationship too.. A scar which isnt physical but emotional.. an emotional scar that is so deep into the bone that imprints something between the couple.

Oppps, let me not digress too much~

So if there is a "fightless" couple, that has seen no reason for major quarrels, isnt it perfect? hahaha... Of course, there were some minor "hmmph!" here and there.. but none of which had affected our relationship. We remember and practice our "Relax and talk it out and solve the issue" process. =)

Throughout this period of time, we have seen each other's numerous good and bad points. I can safely say that these characteristics built the two individuals, and made us love each other more. Afterall, we love each other for who they are! We have been passionately in love and we still are that loving. Comfortable with each other's prescence and building up rapport with the other's family members. We have been blessed.

For all the love and support showered upon me and the many things that you have done for us. When I am happy, you are the one whom I will look for..to share the joy.. And when I am sad and troubled, you are the one I will run to too. We may not have answers to all our problems but the fact that we can face the situation together is the greatest gift. I am truefully glad that you are the one whom I can bond with, telepathy with.. n love with all my heart. Fate grant me this guy whom I will appreciate with all that I can give. I love you dear! Ho Ho Ho! Merry Christmas! Its that time of the year again, where celebrations are around the corner and gifts and presents are exchanged. Talking about gifts, its so not fun when the person is able to guess what you are going to give to him/her. Right dear?

I don't know why but dear is always able to guess what I would be getting for her, like this christmas, she guessed both of my options. Haiz... There wouldn't be the surprise factor anymore. But anyway, I will try to surprise her in another way, although she knows what I would be giving her already. But I have a gut feeling that she knows that I have already got the gift for her. Well, we'll see tonight..

Let's see my new specs shall we? Its a gift from her because I broke my specs last week and being a caring gf, she helped me replace the specs as soon as possible.

What do you do when you are bored?

Bored bored bored... He woke up as usual at 7 am today although he is on leave, watched an episode of Naruto, ate breakfast and walked around the house aimlessly before lying down on the couch to watch tv, after finding it hard to look to something to do. Though he was free but nothing beats being interrupted on a leave day by a call from work. The feeling SUX!

Well, at least tomorrow is a special day for us because both of us won't be working! Yeah! And also because it is his birthday. (Erhem.. Those who know him should know what to do ah.. Haha~) But if he doesn't receive any gifts, it is ok as he has already got a wonderful gift from her. It's the best gift that he has ever received, absolutely wonderful, great, beautiful, fabulous, amazing, astonishing and out of the world! Will post a pic of it once it's taken.

Hmmm... What should we do tomorrow? We will go bowling, since birthday boys and girls get 2 free games of bowling on their birthdays. We wonder what other places offer free stuff for birthday boys and girls??? If we knew, we would go to these places and make use of the great offer. Haha~! Now back to the topic, what can we do after bowling? We still have a good 3-4 hours before night when she will join him and his family for a dinner at either Pan Pac or Clarke Quay, the venue has not been decided yet. Maybe go to penissula to look for a pair of inline skates for the both of us? I guess that may be the plan.

An exciting journey of learning new skills and starting a new hobby for the both of us is about to begin. We decided to pick up skating! So you guys should be able to spot us at East Coast Park every weekend once we have gotten our skates. Isn't it exciting!? Imagine the tons of fun we will have and the memories that we will remember and tell them as a story to our children in future. Will post photos of our new skates too when we get them taken.

I think its about time I end the entry today. Look forward to the pictures of the gift and the skates readers. Ciao~

The first thing we did when we met was to go bowling, we were so excited as she really enjoyed herself during her birthday when we went bowling at Pasir Ris Bowl and this time is the 3rd time she's bowling. Not bad for a beginner as her score kept improving till it reached 80+.

Well anyway, back to the main topic and at Orchid Country Club, we had 2 games. This time round it wasn't that fun as there was quite a pro right beside our lane playing. And also to the left, there was a family with lots of kids that took a lot of 6 pound balls, leaving behind some 6 pounds that she can't fit her fingers in.. Thus, she had to play with a 6 pound ball that had a spoilt core that we cause the ball to automatically roll left or use another 6 pound ball that her finger can't fit in fully. That's bad. And for him, his balls just kept aiming to the right, even though he off set himself to the left more. Haiz.. What a bad day to play bowling...

Dear n I went to Junction 8 yesterday and we took photos! Those Neoprints thingy loh... Wah cost $9 leh... But nice leh.. so no regrets... However, am unable to upload the pics online... How Shawn?? Cannot leh... How?? Do something mah... PLeasEzzz!!! hahhaa...

Actualli, I wanted to watch the movie Charlie n the Choc Factory... But its not showin yet!!!! Dam*... Then wana watch Bewitched... Uuurgh... Not out yet too... So decided to watch the show Wedding Crashers or sthin.. (Not realli enthu abt tt show.. but movie addict leh... got to watch sthin..) In the end, we didnt manage to catch the Wedding Crashers too... =( Cos Bishan Gv not showin tt... Blur Jacko...

Oh dear oh dear... Today is not a very good day for Jacqueline, she is down with a bad fever and sore throat. The doc said to monitor her temperature again tomorrow. If it doesn't go down and still stays at 39°c, she has to go for a blood test just in case it is a case of dengue. I really cross my fingers and hope for the best...

This is how our day passed by today... In the morning, I was suppose to go for my usual soccer game with my friends opposite Yishun Junior College. However, due to dear falling seriously sick yesterday, she is the number one priority. I need to accompany her to see the doc, if not, she would not see the doc and say that the doc is not handsome. Haha! But I doubt she would as she is really really really really really sick... So we went to see the doc she has been seeing since young and we took the queue number 33 when the current number was only 14... We thought: "Wha! Must wait for long... Sian..." Therefore, we went up to her house for lunch first before going down again after waiting for about 1.5 hours. And, the doc gave her 2 days medical leave for the 25th and 26th. She needs it.

After at the doc's, we went back and she took her medicine and went to sleep. She needs this important rest if not it will take her a long time before she recovers. Then I went back home and I slept too... Haha! I also need this rest, if not it would be my turn to fall sick. Hmmm... I wonder whether has dear waken up or not, better give her a call... Ring Ring... Bye blog!

It has been a terribly busy week for me and it has been hard on you dear. I am so thankful for your patience waiting for me till Sunday. And its also sad that on the only day when I am free this week, you have a roadshow to attend.

Haha! But as I am typing about your roadshow, I recall us eating our lunch at a coffee shop in Toa Payoh and we were both eating Mee Hoon Kuay. I just took a mouth of 'kuay' and then I suddenly had to sneeze. Oh my god! And I splashed some soup over you dear... I am so sorry, so sorry, so sorry, so sorry, so sorry! But it was a very funny sight. Its the first time I sneeze in front of someone and its also the first time you get sneezed at. Haha!

It was a very embarassing moment for me. I could see by the glance of my eyes that the person sitting at the table beside us turn and looked at us. Oh dear! People reading this, please don't laugh. :)

in the end, guy spend another ?comforting gal, actual sleep time is
11.40pm, plus the earlier argument, he did not have a good sleep. what
worse is the gal may argue with the same thing again the next day.

Today, Shawn is staying at home rotting away as Jac has to work at a roadshow till 3 plus in the afternoon. Shawn was supposed to play mahjong but his 'kakis' couldn't make it. Later in the afternoon, after Jac's roadshow, we will be going to make her sneakers that we bought at Queensway shopping center useful. Ever since buying it like about a month ago, it has been sitting inside the shoebox and kept aside in a corner of the house. Finally... the day has come for it to see light! It will no longer be kept in the dark... Muahaha~!

We will be walking from Jac's house to Yishun Park and then we would probably clock about 3-5 rounds the track. We need to start training up for New Paper Big Walk, which will be held on 22nd May. Anyone going also? See ya guys there!

Sadly, the last 2 days of our Trip...

Breakfast again at the hotel's cafe, again its scrambled eggs, ham, croissant, sausages, fruits, cereals, bee hoon and coffee... We've been eating the same food every morning and we are getting sick of it.. Haha!~

Today, we'll be meeting James again and he will be bringing us to Chatukchat, the famous weekend market in Bangkok. We were supposed to meet at MBK and James would bring us down to Chatukchat but we ended up taking a taxi down to a train station to meet him as it was more convenient for him... We had difficulty conversing with the driver and we had to call James on the handphone and let him do the talking over the phone... So we finally reached the station and took a long ride on the train down to Chatukchat station, it took approximately 45 minutes to reach there... The weather was so so so so so hot! HOT! H...O...T!!! Just look at the sun!

Under the scorching sun, we explored the numerous alleys for shops and guess what? They were selling puppies, kittens, bunnies, hamsters and all sorts of pets. You can get a Golden Retriever puppy for only S$100++, now that's what I call cheap. But the condition the puppies were kept in was not ideal at all, it was quite over crowded in that place, pitiful puppies.

We didn't buy much there except for 3 bags, 1 pair of sandals and 3 persons share of noodles and a fizzy drink. The meal for the 3 of us cost us only S$4... Another cheap cheap deal. I must re-emphasize... e weather is horribly hot... Jac got a headache and when we went back to the hotel, her whole body was full of rashes. This girl can't stand the heat(no wonder she's so fair). Luckily, the rashes subsided after a nice cool bath.

After refreshing ourselves, we went down to A&W to have our dinner. The food wasn't that nice, probably that's why the A&W in Singapore has closed down. Thereafter, we found this shopping centre called Siam Square and we went in to recce the shops that were in there and we found LEVI'S! But it was closed. So we decided that this will be the place we will shop at before we fly off the next day.

Leaving Siam Square, we went to walk along the road outside and there were many illegal peddlers set up selling lots of shirts, bags and other accessories. It was here that Jac was 'chopped' of her money. She bought a tee for S$8 when she could have just forked out S$4 for the same tee elsewhere... HaiZ... heart pain ah... somemore she bought 3 of the tees... sigh... N, recently she jus saw e same tee in Spore sellin at S$6........... ~shakes head~ Haiz.. change topic....

But look on the bright side, we went into a shop and found a very nice bracelet and it cost only $10+, a very good bargain, one which won't cost the same if it was sold here in Spore.

Well, this basically sums up the day's activities during the last night in Bangkok.. Gdnite~!

Part 3 of BKK Trip!

Well, my turn to update!

Ok so we went to the Night Markets n finally the bridge... Took a cab back to Novotel and rest.

The next morning, as James got something on, we went shopping of our own. Well, not before havin the America Breakfast at the hotel.. Not veri fantastic for a four or five star hotel, but still alright. Full, we headed out n managed to find the MBK shopping centre.. hehehe..

And we arrived at e famous MBK Shoppin Mall!

Jac was realli amazed at how BIG the centre is.. SuaKu... haha... We realli duno where to start! Just a level can take us more than a hour and we didnt even enter all the shops!

Spent more than half a day there.. and our legs were sooo tired. There was a level for electronic gadgets and mostly handphones n accessories. Shawn managed to purchase some stocks for his dad. The levels for clothes is like a maze... We had to realli track where we had went thru.. Managed to find some jeans and got some lovely tees by the brand "Body Gloves". The tees are realli unique and Shawn simply love em.. In total, we bought 5 of these tees during our BKK trip!

We wanted to scout for Levis Jeans... but the onli levis outlet there does not have e types we wanted.. Neither did it haf the type Jack wanted... Hmmm... realii sian half half... But nvm, we shall search on at other places.

Had some makan at a Thai restaurant there.. The locals cook with strong spices and i guess that's why Shawn didnt realli like the food. We had to exchange cos Shawn's got more spices and he cant take it! Jac didnt realli mind the taste.. perhaps its the Indonesian side of her... hahaha.... Anywae realised that the Thai's servings are quite small... no wonder the ladies are so slim! Realli! They are soooo slim! And a lot of the ladies wear a similar shirt of some sort.. We wonder if its the school uniform or wat... And the way they wear it, it made em look even slimmer...

After a whole afternoon of shoppin at MBK, we headed back to the hotel to keep our "Zhan Li Ping"/ our shoppin bags..

We took e tutu back cos the traffic was horrible and we couldnt find ani cabs. For tutu, we gotta ask for the price first. Mind ya.. its best to bargain n lower the price.. cos they realli charge the tourists.. ~Tips~ make sure u got small change for this! The ride was fast n nice but the weather was bad... its hot... h..o..t...H...O...T.... Well, anywae we managed to take some photos on the tutu n of the tutu! See the pics!

Realli, choosing Novotel was a fantastic choice.. Its location which is at Siam Square is so convenient! In e evening, we need only walk for five mins n we reached the Hard Rock Cafe where we had our dinner. The food there was not to our liking though. Strange rite? Perhaps we were too full from the finger food combo which we had b4 the main course ba.. haha... Caught the bartender with his bottle twirling skills... Not bad.. Quite nice lafin with the pple.. Took some photos there too!

After dinner, we wanted to walk to PatPong. Luckily we couldnt find the way... haha... it was quite a distance and we took a cab from the hotel. As far as we know, PatPong is also a night market.. But little did Jac knows that it was actualli also a red-light district! hahaha... There were "Tiger-Shows" it seems and the pple there kept askin Shawn to go in.. Both werent interested n furthermore, Jac had a bad tummy pain... Tried to look out for more bargains still though... However, this place isnt as interestin as those nite markets we went the previous nite... Its more of imitations of branded goods of which we were keen on... Therefore, we left soon after... Jac felt a bit guilty though.. cos they could haf combed for more bargains there if not for her tummy pain... Luckily, Shawn was more concerned for her than the bargains.. haha... Muack!

So it's back to the hotel to rest for the both of em and more shopping at the Weekend Market "Chatukchat" the next day!! Shall continue again!!!

Well people, we mentioned that we will continue soon but looks like soon is a very long time...

Ok where did we stop? Oh, after the 'Ah Gua' show... Then James took us to a night market with a lot of pubs by the side and it was a hangout place for a lot of the 'Ang Mohs' and along the street, you could see many locals offering services to do up peoples' hair, those like the Negros like to have, with beads and coloured strings in the hair... After that street, we went to yet another night market, this one was more for locals compared to tourists. The street was divided into 4-6 lanes of roadside stalls and each lane took us about half an hour to get through because it was so narrow that only a 1 way human traffic could go through. It was good place to shop for cheap things, but not the best place yet. Anyway, it was there that Jac bought a very nice pink Roxy tee for Irine, by the way, it was suggested by Shawn if not Jac wouldn't have got it... Haha!

That place was extremely hot, humid and stuffy. We walked about half of the place and decided to call it a day. Then we went up to a famous bridge(can't recall the name of it already) to take a photo and then we went back to the hotel. Below is the picture...

Our Trip to Bangkok

~~Day 1~~

Our plane touched down at Bangkok International Airport at approximately 11am and at the arrival hall, we linked up with a driver who drove us to Novotel Hotel, where we would be staying for the 4 days. We had trouble finding him until she(Jac) found the driver and with some broken english, we managed to understand each other. Haha! We had to wait for another lady though, who was on another flight. We waited for her for about 15mins... On the mini bus that was our transfer vehicle, we chatted with her and found out that she goes to Bangkok regularly to pray and buy supplies for her business. Clever lady cos everything is cheap.

We reached out hotel, had to wait for about 45mins to 1 hour for our room to be ready. So we waited in the lobby, crossed over to 7-11 to buy drinking water and then ta-da! Our room was ready, it was on the highest level!!! 18 storeys up in the air... We unpacked and then went to meet my dad's friend, James, who is the same age as us, 21. He brought us to Chinatown to savour some local delights, we ordered Tom Yum Prawns(Jac's Fav), grilled Prawns, Steamed Garoupa(Shawn's Fav), Baby Kailan and Fried Oyster(Jame's Fav). Btw, those prawns were huge! And the best thing was, all 3 of us ate till we were very full and it only costs us S$33!!! Cheap sia!!!

Next item on the list was to watch 'Ah Gua' show, we saved about $800 Baht, which is almost equivalant to S$32 cos James's mother helped us booked the places through her company. Funny things happened during the show which Shawn was involved, those ppl pulled him up stage and made a mockery out of him... Pity pity...

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day dear! Remember I mentioned about this shared blog that I wanted us to have? I bet you do! Ta da~! Here is our blog, our journal, our memories of the ups and downs that we went through... May it be happy, sad, bitter or sweet, we can blog all those down and when we grow old, this infinite journal will still be around to remind us of our younger days...

Today is the 12th of Febuary 2005, in 2 days it will be Valentine's Day and in 3 days, it will be our 1st year anniversary being together as a couple. If only you had agreed to be my girlfriend on the 14th when I poped the question, then both celebrations can be held on the same day. Nethertheless, we will still celebrate it on the 15th, which is tomorrow. Because I planned it this way to only let you know the existance of this blog today, the 14th.

1 year ago on this day, we were at B Boss having our dinner, sad to say, it has closed down already... :( The place may be closed but we will always remember that day... It was the day I shyly asked you to be my girlfriend. I blushed and couldn't give me an answer right away and then the next day we attended Feng Ling's 21st birthday celebration. At the end of it, Desmond wanted to give us a lift home but the both of us rejected him. Haha~! That was a very awkward situation. Outside where we first met, Northland Primary School, we got together as a couple, we held hands.

That night was both a very happy night as well as a very sad night. I had to leave for Brunei for training. The instance when we got together and in less than 3 hours I had to leave the country for training for a week plus... Sob sob :( Every night in Brunei, I kept thinking of you, you were my motivation to go on when the going got tough. Till today dear, you are still that motivation.

For the past 1 year, I am glad that we didn't quarrel much at all. I'm proud to have you as my girlfriend, a very understanding and compromising one. As a regular in the army, I am unable to spend every weekend with you but you still accepted me. I am sorry for the times when I had to leave you alone. I am also sorry for the times when I made you angry by my actions or words. I still remember the first time I made you angry in the car because I was dead worried about how you would flare up after getting angry. It was my first time seeing you angry and thoughts ran through my mind how in trouble I was... Haha~ I'm glad everything's fine now...

Today, I wish us all the best to our future together and may our love be strong forever and honour our promise to each other. Cheers my dear~!
